Recruitment studies

It is possible to submit applications to obtain permission to recruit SCAPIS participants to new research studies. The following applies:

Requirements:

The purpose of the study must align with the overarching SCAPIS research objectives.
Your project must offer collaboration to at least one researcher at each site from which you plan to invite participants.
In general, studies involving radiation exposure or interventions are approved on a restrictive basis. If your study includes such elements, they must be very carefully justified.
You should be prepared to return data collected in your study to SCAPIS.
You will be required to provide your approved ethics application. Particular attention will be given to the invitation letter.

Applications are reviewed twice a year by the SCAPIS Data Access Board (June and December).
Applications must be submitted by the end of May or November, respectively.
The number of times the same participants may be invited to participate in a new study is limited to a maximum of 1–2 times per year, depending on the scope of the study.
